Work base : The team are based in Parkhouse Building Carlisle but are currently working from home. Permanent home working or flexible working from another Cumbria County Council building would also be considered.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting our services, finding great candidates delivering effective recruitment marketing and working to support key board resourcing strategies.
The role will support operational recruitment activities by providing advice and guidance to managers on recruitment requirements and supporting candidate attraction functions such as ad writing, advertising talent management, social media and headhunting. Additionally, a key part of the role is to actively support improvements to the recruitment process by ensuring our managers are supported and our candidate journey is both informative and welcoming.
This is the perfect time to join our team as we further develop our organizational approach to resourcing and recruitment while also focusing on improving the council’s employer brand and implementing initiatives to ensure inclusive and accessible options for internal and external candidates.
For the experienced position, the ideal candidate will have a good background in recruitment, for example as a recruitment consultant or in an HR function and some experience with social media and driving improvements.
For the development role, we are primarily looking for a proactive individual with excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail and a flexible approach.
