Namibia: Institute of People Management conference goes virtual

The 10th People Management Institute of Namibia conference is scheduled to take place on November 9, 2020 via the Zoom platform.

The conference typically lasts two days, however, this year the event is condensed to a one-day event only; and after taking into consideration the impact caused by the pandemic, the president of

IPM, Tim Ekandjo pointed out that the usual delegate registration fees will be waived.

“This year’s conference will only last one day instead of the normal two days. We are aware of the negative impact Covid19 has had on many Namibian businesses, and as such IPM will not charge any fees. delegate this year. All delegates will be able to join and attend the virtual conference via a zoom link at no cost. We will share the link soon, “said Ekandjo.

On the theme “Preparing HR for a future Post Covid19”, the annual and always the most anticipated event brings together practitioners from all levels of the Human Resources profession, to discuss and

deliberate on relevant matters that relate to, affect or are of interest to people management, and the wider field of human resources affairs in general.

In the past, and within its conventional standard and design, the conference typically concludes with the annual IPM Excellence Gala Dinner, where various HR professionals are recognized and conferred.
