Hamirpur (HP), April 28 (UNI) HP’s forestry secretary on Thursday told officers to work to stop the fires with the support of the people to stop the forests from burning. While chairing the 7th Board Meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Ecosystem Management and Livelihood Improvement Project (funded by JICA) held at the State Secretariat of Shimla, he said we should do our best to stop the fire in the forests and through village forest development committees. , people must be sensitized to save the forest. \ Additional Chief Conservator and Chief Project Manager (JAICA) Nagesh Kumar Guleria gave detailed information on the work to be done under the JAIKA Forestry Project at the meeting. 45.90 crore has been spent during this period and 97 crore is expected to be spent in the coming fiscal year. During the meeting, the Principal Secretary (Forestry), Dr. Rajneesh, appreciated the work done during the last financial year under the Jika Forestry Project. During this meeting, Forest Department officers also stayed connected through virtual support.
