updated May 15, 2006: The Pietasters will be appearing on MHz Spotlight on August 18, 2006 at 8pm. For those who don't know, MHz NETWORKS and AUSTIN GRILL team up to create MHz Spotlight, a new television music program featuring up-and-coming recording artists from the Washington, DC area. Austin Grill is the presenting sponsor of this new series that offers a rare glimpse into the world of independent music. MHz Spotlight is a half-hour show focused around rock, but featuring an eclectic mix of country, pop, blues, and ska. In-depth interviews with the musicians reveal behind-the-scenes stories; live studio performances bring viewers that much closer to the local bands they love. MHz Spotlight will also showcase a special singer-songwriter edition. Check out their web site here! Also, sorry for the lack of updates. The Pietasters have been working quite hard on their new album, which is currently untitled. Look for a new album hopefully by the fall.
